Hastings Direct has donated over £150,000 to the Pink Ribbon Foundation in support of breast cancer charities over the past 18 months. The monies were raised by one of Hastings Direct's brands–'insurePink'. The company donates for every car, home or travel insurance policy sold from its websitewww.insurepink.co.uk.

Every year the Pink Ribbon Foundation invites breast cancer charities to apply for grants. Operating in this way allows the foundation to help charities both large and small — many of which rely on these donations to keep them functioning.

Toby van der Meer, managing director — retail, Hastings Direct said: "There are an estimated 570,000 people living in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, which has helped us continue to support the Pink Ribbon Foundation."

Jonathan Prince, trustee, Pink Ribbon Foundation: "We're delighted with our long standing partnership with Hastings. This regular and long-standing income means so much to our charity as it means we can plan long term with confidence."
