The Bohemia Trust which offers local counselling services has just received a £100 donation from A Helping Hand — the local support programme from local insurance broker Hastings Direct.

Hastings Direct's A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the local community. Each month Hastings is able to offer either professional support from its 1,700+ staff, or physical support with team building days. In addition, Hastings has made a small monthly grant available to support local funding.

The Bohemia Trust (www.bohemia-info.org) — which is predominantly self-funded — offers local counselling services to those in need in the Hastings and Rother area.

Professor Chris Beaumont founded the Trust in 1996. "Our counselling and advice desk both run on the good will of our 100% volunteer staff. We remain at the progressive front line of psychological interventions. We take clients referrals from N.H.S., GPs corporate bodies and client direct self referrals. All of this donation will be used to provide client hours, as always the kindness of others makes our work possible"

Jay Wootten, community liaison, Hastings Direct: "So many essential services need local funding to be able to continue and we know our donation will be able those in real need get the help and advice they need."

If you know of a local organisation in need of A Helping Hand, please email jaywootten@hastingsdirect.comwith details of your organisation and how we may be able to assist.
