On Saturday 30th August 2014, 18 men and women from Hastings Direct will join with Battle based running group, Born Ready Runners, to face the ultimate challenge — a cross country mud and obstacle event known as Spartan Race to raise money for a children's cancer charity — NCCA UK.
The Spartan Race comprises a 7.5km course, participants have to crawl through muddy ditches covered in barbed wire, wade through rivers filled with ice, carry logs, tyres and sandbags, climb ropes and leap fires. It's designed to challenge a person's limits and not everyone will make it to the finish line!
The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Alliance (NCCA UK) works tirelessly to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds every year to send these children (and their families) abroad for essential life saving treatment.
