Golfer strikes lucky on Friday 13th at charity golf day sponsored by Hastings Direct

Kevin Steele achieved golfing Nirvana by scoring a hole in one at the Pilgrim's Hospice charity golf day sponsored by Bexhill's largest employer, Hastings Direct.

Kevin — who is a member at the Tenterden golf club where the event was held — has never scored a hole in one before. Kevin was playing with his twin brother Keith and they had a gentlemen's agreement to split any prizes won. Lucky for Keith, Kevin struck on the 18th hole winning £8,000!

Hastings Direct provided the cover on the day should any golfer strike lucky! Kevin, 55, was in tears when he called his wife Lynda with the news and now they are planning a monster family holiday to North America — he has as promised split the prize with his twin brother Keith! And Keith reciprocated by splitting the celebratory bar bill at the 19th hole!
