Hastings Group has published its sixth annual Sustainability Report, setting out progress against its sustainability agenda and continued support for colleagues, customers and communities throughout 2025

The report outlines activity across Hastings’ four focus areas - reducing environmental impact, operating responsibly, valuing colleagues and customers, and supporting communities - and provides an update on progress against sustainability goals.

2025 highlights include:

  • Recognised as the UK’s #1 Best Big Company to Work For for the second consecutive year, reflecting strong colleague engagement

  • Invested in skills and capability, completing 219,806 learning hours, welcoming 23 graduates, and supporting 90 colleagues through apprenticeships

  • Enhanced customer experience, including the launch of a 24/7 Messenger channel within the Hastings app

  • Prevented over £120 million in policy and claims fraud, protecting customers and maintaining trust

  • Achieved a 79% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from a 2022 baseline, exceeding our 2030 science based target well ahead of plan

  • Strengthened responsible business practices, with 75% of suppliers now signed up to Hastings’ Supplier Code of Conduct

Toby van der Meer, Hastings CEO said, “Our colleagues remain at the heart of our success, and in 2025 that showed through clearly. We achieved record levels of colleague engagement and were recognised for the second year running as the UK’s #1 Best Big Company to Work For, a reflection of the culture we continue to build together.

The collective commitment is evident in our environmental progress too. We reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 79% from our 2022 baseline, exceeding our 2030 target years ahead of plan.

These outcomes are the result of colleagues across Hastings turning ambition into action — delivering positive impact for our customers, communities and the environment. Leading Hastings on this journey of responsible growth is a privilege, and as we move into 2026, our focus remains on growing sustainably and creating long‑term value.”
