Bexhill Cricket Club has just received A Helping Hand from Hastings Direct in support of an Easter monster cycling challenge.

Ten cricket club members will cycle from the Lords cricket ground in London to the Polegrove on Easter Sunday (April 20th). The eighty mile journey is expected to take up to 10 hours and all monies raised will be split between repairs for a new Clubhouse roof and the club's charity partner St Michael's Hospice.

Hastings Direct's A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the local community. Each month Hastings is able to offer either professional support from its 1,700+ staff, or physical support with team building days. In addition, Hastings has made a small monthly grant available to support local funding.

Bexhill Cricket Club is a community sports club located with home matches played at the Polegrove Sports Ground — where the challenge will be finishing. The club currently runs five Saturday teams as well as supplying Sunday friendly fixtures and has junior cricket for children starting at under 9's going through to Under 18's.

Martin Philimore, Bexhill Cricket Club: "We would like to thank Hastings Direct for the donation towards this cause, our riders have been training for the last few months and appreciate the support that has been shown by Hastings and other members of the local community."
