Hastings Direct has announced its donation of over £104,400 to cancer and health charities in 2015.

Contributing to The Pink Ribbon Foundation in support of breast cancer charities, the general insurance provider raised the charitable monies via Hastings Direct brand, InsurePink where £10 from every car and home, and £1 from every travel insurance policy sold online is donated to the cancer and wellbeing charities.

Smashing previous years' totals, the generous donation will contribute towards the work of The Pink Ribbon Foundation who brings together individuals, charities and organisations in the fight against cancer. Supported groups include, the Newmarket Breast Cancer Support Group, Marie Curie Cancer Care, the Primrose Foundation and Cancer Counselling Trust.

Toby van der Meer, Hastings Retail Managing Director comments; "We are proud to continue our support of The Pink Ribbon Foundation and would like to thank our customers for their continued support of these good causes."

Jonathan Prince, Trustee, The Pink Ribbon Foundation added; "We are thrilled with the considerable donation from Insure Pink and the ongoing support of their customers. The Pink Ribbon Foundation continues to offer support to those affected by breast cancer and give help to charities who work hard to raise awareness and give aid and advice to those touched by this terrible disease."

About The Pink Ribbon Foundation

The Foundation is impartial and is committed to bringing together individuals, charities and organisations to fight this terrible disease together. Every year the Foundation invites charities concerned with breast cancer to apply for grants from the money raised. Operating in this way allows the Foundation to help charities both large and small — many of the small organisations rely on donations such as these to keep them going. We intend to continue to do this.
