A four year old boy suffering from haemophilia has received A Helping Hand from local insurance broker Hastings Direct to visit Disneyland Paris.

Hastings Direct's A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the local community. Each month Hastings is able to offer either professional support from its 1,700+ staff, or physical support with team building days. In addition, Hastings has made a small monthly grant available to support local funding.

There are over six thousand haemophiliacs in the UK and the disease predominantly affects boys and men and sufferers risk severe bleeding from injuries as their blood clots more slowly than normal.

Danny Stupple, vice president, Hastings Ex-Boxers Association: "The generosity of local businesses like Hastings Direct to help young George — one of our member's grandson — has been overwhelming. We have not quite reached our target to get George, his sister and parents to Disneyland Paris so we will be holding an Easter draw at Silverhall Club if anyone wishes to support us further."

If you know of a local organisation in need of A Helping Hand, please email jaywootten@hastingsdirect.comwith details of your organisation and how we may be able to assist.
