Cambridgeshire Wildlife Care has just received a £100 donation from A Helping Hand — the local support programme from insurance broker Hastings Direct.

Hastings Direct's A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the local community. Each month Hastings is able to offer either professional support from its staff, or physical support with team building days. In addition, Hastings has made a small monthly grant available to support local funding.

Cambridgeshire Wildlife Care (cambswildlifecare.org.uk) is a charity dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife in Ely and the surrounding area. The charity cares for orphaned, injured, ill and abandoned animals with the aim of returning them to the wild.

Dinah Northfield, co-founder, Cambridgeshire Wildlife Care: "We are extremely grateful to Hastings Direct for helping to support our work. The donation will go towards food and medical treatment for the birds and mammals in our care — with springtime just around the corner, we expect to be very busy caring for baby animals and birds and this donation will really make a difference."

If you know of a local organisation in need of A Helping Hand, please email jaywootten@hastingsdirect.com with details of your organisation and how we may be able to assist.
