Charities, local businesses and members of Leicester Council came together at the St George's Way office to toast Hastings Direct as it continues to grow and become one of the largest employers in the city with over 560 colleagues, compared to 36 a year ago. Recently launching its claims department, Hastings Direct's Leicester office has now taken over 1.2 million calls and has raised over £4,000 for charity.
Hastings Direct CEO, Gary Hoffman, welcomed guests to the event and expressed his thanks to the local and business community outlining Hastings' incredible journey so far and the welcome support that has been received. Gary went on to present the quarterly donation cheque of £1,970 to Hastings Direct’s chosen 2016 charities in Leicester, The Dorothy Goodman School and The Bridge.
Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby spoke highly of Hastings Direct highlighting how the company had fulfilled the promises proposed when it chose the city as its third UK site in 2015 by offering great career and employment opportunities and contributing to the city community.
